About The Kensington Eye Institute (KEI)
The Kensington Eye Institute is a state-of-the-art ambulatory cataract surgery centre that utilizes the latest technology to provide world class care to our patients.
At KEI our focus is on patient care. We are committed to exceeding patient expectations by providing timely and effective cataract procedures to Toronto-area residents in need of surgery.
Over 30 of the province's most skilled ophthalmic surgeons operate at KEI. Their expertise is provided in a world class facility that is sensitive to the needs of all patients.
At KEI, we are additionally dedicated to training and research. KEI is one of the largest ophthalmic teaching facilities in Canada. Our surgeons provide training for University of Toronto ophthalmology residents - the future eye surgeons of the country.
The creation of KEI was an integral step towards reducing wait times for cataract surgeries in Ontario. Around 6,700 surgeries will be performed at KEI annually.
